Today fans of our site from 7th and 8th forms gathered on the gymnasium steps to be photo taken.
Because of the end of the year tests some site fans were not able to come.
Do not be sorry. We will have another photo taken on Monday, 23rd May,
the day when we are celebrating the 1st Birthday of our site.
We also expect Mr Tasker to come to take part in the celebrations
and award the most experienced Internet 8th and 7th form users with certificates.

Birthday is the most important day in our lives. Every year we grow older.
My friend Masha is a student of Class 7-V . Her birthday was yesterday.
She was thirteen years old. She was very beautiful on that day.
One girl presented balloons to her and she looked very festive.
She treated all students in our English group with juice and sweets.
It was very tasty. We all greeted her telling her how beautiful, clever, creative and talented she is.
We also sang a "Happy birthday" song.
Easter is the feast of Christ’s resurrection. In Ukraine we call it Velykden.
On Sunday we celebrated Easter, and today we had our Easter English club meeting!
We took Easter cakes and krashanki .
First 15 minutes we wrote "writing texts”. While we were writing those texts, the water was boiling.

I have just visited the site of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and read the following information there:

On 11 April I attended a seminar in ETRC, presented by Cynthia McPhail,
full professor and the chair of the Department of Language, Literacy and Technology
in the School of Education at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY:
The topic was: "Use of English to study other subject areas".
The higher the grade of the student is, the more academic approach is needed to improve his/her language skills.
Students have to analise what they do and why. - These are the 2 conclusions I have come to.
I liked the friendly atmosphere of the presentation. And it was fun to have a photo &

On 31 March the District contest of composers was held in the Centre of Children's and Teenagers' Creativity.
Our pupil from 8-B form, Ella Yevtushenko , took part in it and won the first place!
Our site journalist Nataliya Derevianko interviewed Ella.
1. Why did you decide to compete in this contest? Who told you about it?
- Our vice-president Tetyana Oleksiivna told me about it. I like contests, so I thought it would be interesting and I agreed.
2. How many contestants were there? And did you make friends with them?
- There were only three contestants: me, a girl with a "r

In the world All Fools' Day is celebrated in different ways.
April Fools' Day is celebrated in different countries around the world on April 1 every year.
Sometimes referred to as All Fools' Day, April 1 is not a national holiday,
but is widely recognized and celebrated as a day where many people play all kinds of jokes and foolishness.
The day is marked by the commission of good humoured or funny jokes, hoaxes, and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, teachers, neighbors, work associates, etc. The earliest recorded association between April

Every humorous person loves this holiday,
and so do we, four friends,
Ella, Natasha&Natasha and Dasha! =)
Today you could see us wearing slippers for all the day in school.
The reaction of pupils and teachers was very different: some people laughed very much, others asked why we were wea

You have certainly seen pupils meeting you at the entrance hall of the gymnasium!
A group of them greeting you with the Ukrainian phrase "Dobroho ranku!'
or those who help others with their coats in the cloak-room.
Is it good or bad to be on duty? And why?
Some pupils are responsible for handing out daybooks to those who have been late for the gymnasiu

Being on holiday I attended Oxford Teachers' Club "Bridging gaps between Secondary and Higher School” session
organized by Oxford University Press in the International House on 25 March 2011.
There I also had a wonderful opportunity to leaf new textbooks. One of them is English Plus.
The idea of the textbook is that "teachers don’t have to go looking for extra material to compromise their course,
because it’s all there if they need it…I think that rather than just learning English,
students should be learning something interesting about their world through English”

Students left the gymnasium on 18 March till 28 March and it now looks deserted.
The corridors are quiet , the classrooms are thoughtful , the teachers are relaxed. HOLIDAYS!!!
The students who turn up to the gymnasium look different . Their faces are shining with new ideas.
Yesterday I met the students from 8 G form on the gymnasium steps.
On 18th March at 7-"A" English Club Meeting we decided to make healthy salad.
We brought a lot of vegetables, which we could put raw.
You can make this salad at home! We will give you the recipe of this salad below.
It's good to have holidays!
Traditionally the last lesson of the school period is unusual. We summerize our work.
This time the last day of the studying was on the 18 of March. But on the 17 of March English & Irish people celebrated St Patric's Day.
We discussed the tradition, the history of the holiday, read poems & did the puzzles.
This holiday is closely connected with coming of spring. The main colour of the holiday is green,
because grass remains green all year roud in Ireland.
This holiday shows us the love of Irish people to their Motherland.
It also teches us to respect the traditions of other people & to keep our best traditions.
What would you say if somebody asked you, "What food is healthy? "
A lot of people would answer, "Healthy food is the one which is not tasty to eat.”
The pupils of 7-A form don’t think so, that’s why they decided to meet in the English Club,
which is already a tradition with all my pupils at the end of each term, and
prove that healthy food is very tasty, indeed.
