Being on Duty in the Gymnasium
You have certainly seen pupils meeting you at the entrance hall of the gymnasium!

A group of them  greeting you with the Ukrainian phrase "Dobroho ranku!'
or those who help others  with their  coats in the cloak-room.

Is it good or bad to be on duty? And why?

Some pupils are responsible for handing out daybooks to those who have been late for the gymnasium.

Others have to collect all the registers at the end of the day.

To my mind, all students are very enthusiastic about being on duty.

Though they have  a lot of work in the canteen...

... pupils prefer being on duty to working at  lessons.

    But is it always so?

I wonder what the advantages and disadvantages of being on duty are?

I think that being on duty is interesting, because pupils help to collect all the registers at the end of the day and to do other useful things.
Also, you don't have to wear a school uniform. And you can miss boring lessons. ah
But, there are some disadvantages. You have to miss interesting and important lessons. You should stay with grumbling women in the canteen. bangin
As for me, I agree with Dzvinka. You feel yourself as a part of gymnasium's life!

Be on duty in school have a lot of advantage. First, you can rest from lessons, learning, doing exercises. You also don't have to wear a school uniform, because it becomes dirty. You have more free time.

Being on duty in school has disadvantages too. Sometimes, duty is a very hard job. Also, if you duty often, your studying marks can suffer.
