The students of the 7th forms have made a survey in the gymnasium and got to know that the most popular groups and singers with the 7th form students are the following:
A
school uniform is an outfit—a set of standardized clothes—worn
primarily for an educational institution. They are common in primary and
secondary schools in various countries (see list of countries below).
When used, they form the basis of a school's dress code.
Traditionally,
school uniforms have tended to be subdued and professional. Many
believe that uniforms cut down on individuality. Boys' uniforms often
consist of dark short or long trousers and light-colored shirt, often
with a tie. Girls' uniforms vary greatly between countries and schooling
systems, but typically consist of a dress or a blouse worn either with a
skirt or culottes or under a pinafore. The use of a blazer or suit-like
jacket for either gender is also fairly common, especially in countries
with relatively cold weather. In some countries, such as Japan, school
uniform is essentially standard in all schools using it

It is not a secret, that the problem of a school uniform is discussed in
every school. The majority of schoolchildren have negative attitude to
wearing a uniform. "-” Pupils do not want to lose their
individuality, to hide it behind frameworks of a strict school uniform.
Besides, some school uniforms are very formal looking and may take a lot
of looking after. Skirts or formal pants are not good for doing sport
or running around at lunchtime or recess. School uniforms are rarely
fashionable. You can get fed up of wearing the same old things every
day. You get into trouble if you don't wear uniform. "+”

What do you think about your school uniform? We are starting a new project. Give your pros and cons about your school outfit.
Some say that a child in a school uniform is more likely to take school seriously. Putting on the school uniform signals he or she is going to school just like dad dresses up to go to work. Schools report that when students dress in "work clothes" rather than "play clothes" they take a more serious approach to their studies.
It's a nice tradition in our gymnasium to host teachers and pupils from Germany. This year German delegation arrived on 17 September and left on 23 September. Ukrainian and German students became friends very soon. The headmaster Victor Safiulin and a teacher of German Halyna Suvorova have come to greet the students.
Today I have got a letter from The English Teaching Resourse Centre. It says,
"Dear Friends,
We are pleased to congratulate you on Day of Knowledge and the beginning of a new academic year! May it bring you joy and exciting discoveries, be successful, thrilling and creative!
Stay positive in whatever you do! Remeber that a positive attitude takes you twice as far and twice as fast as a negative one. "
I am just honoured to post this message here and wish all my colleagues and students from Troyeshchyna gymnasium and everybody visiting this site to have a wonderful journey into the world of knowledge.
On 11-14 June best Kyiv and Kyiv region teachers were invited to check written tasks (letters), which were part of the independent test in English.
Teachers had to check at least 24 letters a day.
"Troyeshchyna" gymnasium teachers were said to be very professional. Tetiana Pikush, Tetiana Kondratenko, Tetiana Savchenko, Olena Shatrova, Tina Tsarenko, Olga Ratushna, Halyna Suvorova, Lidiya Vykhrystenko and I, Nataliya Byzova, were involved there.
Our teachers of English Tetiana Pikush, Tetiana Kondratenko and I worked as instructors at the Ukrainian language and literature tests on 2nd and 3rd June. I was also a photographer. :-)
Pupils were given 3 hours to do all the tasks. Some of them managed to complete the tests in an hour and a half. We hope they get the result which they expected. Most pupils were well organized, some felt quite nervous.
Yesterday pupils had their 2 hours' tests in English. The tests and answers to them are here.
Everybody in gymnasium knows that a French teacher,Lidija Oleksiivna Vykhrestenko, every year makes a French concert.
all students and teachers are invited to it,and they can listen to French music and poetry, watch dances or scenes.
and so we did this year. a program was a bit changed: Lara Fabian's "Je t'aime", Edith Piaf's "Je ne regrette rien" and "Padam" and other songs, verses, scenes and dances were included. a concert was called "Notre-Dame de Paris",because most of songs\dances were from that musical. here are some photos (we did it when we had a rest):
