Every day young sunlight  will arrive and fight the darkness.

It means that the day is getting longer and the night is getting shorter.

It's the end of Korochun - the darkest part of the year. 

In the past it was the time when Ukrainians believed that outside their houses there were spirits of their race, 

who helped them to overcome all difficulties.

On the table, there were twelve (or thirteen) courses, the number of months of the year.
