There are exams in the gymnasium for those
who want to become students of the 10th form.
After passing an exam in Ukrainian these students took an exam in English
in order to become students of the linguistic class.
They had to do a grammar test and write a composition about English in their life.
Children are positive about learning English.
because it helps them in everyday life.
This is what some of them wrote:
"English is important for me because I speak to my penfriend who lives in Scotland" (V.B.)
"If you want to work somewhere, you have to know and speak English very well." ((A.H.)
"My grandmother lives in Great Britain and I visit her every year, so I want to speak to her very well"(D.H.)
The teachers Ms Byzova, Ms Pikush and Ms Kondratenko admitted that
the students managed to do their tasks well
and will be able to improve their English in the 10th form.
