    Taras Shevchenko in Virtual Parlour

Last year my class took part in translating Taras Shevchenko's poetry.

It was planned just as English practice dedicated to 200th anniversary of the poet's birthday.

But when we started doing that, I understood that translating was interesting and funny.

We chose our favourite poems and started thinking about translation, choosing the right words an so on.

It wasn't really easy, but I enjoyed it very much, and I think everyone else also liked it.

Then someone proposed to present our translations to other grades.

So we started to work again.

We invited pupils from different grades to our presentation.

When we started telling our translations I felt great.

That was the moment I will never forget.

P.S. In the photo you can see us after presenting our translations to 8-E class in the virtual parlour on 10 March 2015.

While reading Shevchenko's poems you understand they are all written about nowadays situation,
connected with the defence of the country. We see that the enemies are nearly the same as they were 150 years ago.
All people of our country should unite to protect Ukraine.
