Ms Savchenko inspired me to visit Lavra on 14 August - Honey Spas Day.
Long ago, before Christianity came to our land,
our slavonic ancestors celebtated the end of summer on this day.
They used to eat pancakes with poppy and honey and entertain themselves,
drinking medovukha - a drink made from honey.
What a variety of roses I saw just after entering the yard of Lavra.
The slogan on the grass also attracted everybody's attention.
The Ukrainian writer M.V. Hohol once said,
"You won't find such honey anywhere in the neighbouring villages."
The first bees were a sign of honey nearby.
To tell you the truth, I love honey, but I am afraid of bees.)))
Lots of people were tasting honey, which was brought from differents regions of Ukraine.
"Tastes differ", - says the English saying.
But everybody could find honey to their taste.
I chose and bought dark honey here. 70 hr for 1 liter.
It was fun to see a real beehive with lots of bees flying around it, into and out of.
Happy Honey Spas Day to All!
Enjoy poppy and honey as our ancestors did!
