Students from Colorado Academy (Denver, USA) and Troyeshchyna Gymnasium (Kyiv, Ukraine) are working at Health Design Challengeproject (teachers: Bill Meyers, Sue Counterman (USA), Nataliya Byzova, Tetiana Pikush, Tetiana Savchenko (Ukraine).
We've got 20 teams of 4 students from both countries collaborating on our Gymnasium'sWikiTVplatform.
All the teams are challenged to design - a health article
- a meal plan,
- a prototype (device or test),
- a drug/medicine
- and demonstration
This project helps us better learn English and better use the computer.
It also helps us better learn the illness and how to deal with it.
So we are creating prototypes of gadgets and maybe they will help someone in the future.
We are pleased to communicate with American students.
We like them to answer our questions and we enjoy asking questions too.
We hope to get more information about their school and communicate with them in the future.
This project is an amazing experience in our life. With this project, we learn English, communicate with students from America, respond to their questions and ask them ours. In this project we are sharing comments. Each team is processing its material and doing its job. There is a lot of fun especially when we shoot videos for students from another country. We love this project very much and we like to work in it.
I like this project. With it our group began to communicate with other people and began to understand English better. I learned how American school students live: how they go to school, how they dress, what they eat. In this project we filmed videos, and posted comments.

Hi Guys !!! I've really enjoyed working at this project !!! Together with the teams, we've improved teamwork, got acquainted with various new illnesses, tried ourselves as researchers and pharmacists. We've developed various devices and medications and I like it. We've also met with different teachers and students. I'm curious what our peers are doing. I want to thank for such an opportunity to work in this project.

I love this project. It was amazing! I really enjoyed working on a project with my group and American students. We also liked to work with American students. Thanks to the project, we learned a lot of information about various diseases. We also learned to tell and present diseases in different professions. This project helped us learn how to deal with various diseases. We also practiced our English language skills. We really liked it!
This project gave me new knowledge in medicine. I tried myself as a biotechnologist, who creates a device for people with anemia. Also, I was in the role of dietitian, who helps patients with cystic fibrosis. Thanks to the project, I learned more about these diseases and their symptoms. I have learned how to present presentations. Worked with American students. And I improved knowledge of English!
This project is very cool, it is a project for the future study of English, I like to work in a team with pupils from other countries, I like how we record videos in this format, It brings us closer to other people, this is a wonderful project.
This project gave me new knowledge about the disease and how to cure them. I tried myself as dietitian who creates a diet for people with celiac disease. In addition, I was in the role of health reporter, who speaks of hyperlipidemia. I learned to present presentations. I really enjoyed working on a project with my group and American students.

I like this project because we've spoken about world problems. When we have communicated with other children,we all tried to solve these problems. I really hope that we will work together and decide illness as well.
