    History about Teachers` Day!

In some countries, Teachers' Days are intended to be special days for the appreciation of teachers. World Teacher’s Day is celebrated across the world on October 5th, with great verve and enthusiasm. Ever since the importance of teachers has been recognized by UNESCO, by adopting the "Recommendation concerning the status of teachers”, World Teachers` Day has been celebrated annually.

This includes celebrations to honor the teachers for their special contribution in a particular field area or the community in general.

The concept of celebrating teachers' day originated in India to remember the great educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was one of India's most influential scholars of comparative religion and philosophy, whose dream was that "Teachers should be the best minds in the country"

Thank you for a nice greeting!

When I was at school I had wonderful teachers.

My two teachers of English Halyna Oleksandrivna July and Halyna Oleksandrivna Holub loved English so much that I adored their lessons and decided to become a teacher of English. book

My teacher of History Oleksiy Terentiyovych July was blind but his lessons were so interesting that I have loved history for ever.

My class teacher Mariya Mykhailivna Shevchyk encouraged my classmates' activity at after school time. She was also an experienced teacher of Ukrainian. Thanks to her my spelling in Ukrainian is very good.

My father Ivan Ivanovych Pavlenko was my best teacher. He taught Russian Literature and opened horizons of life, encouraged creativity in all his pupils.

Being a teacher I understand how much my teachers gave to me during my school years.

Thank you dear Teachers! Happy Teachers' Day!

What can I say, that wasn't already said?
I wish, as always, you were never sad,
Be always healthy, wise, my dear teacher,
And warmly loved by any earthly creature.

    Thank you for nice greetings.
It is always pleasant to hear nice words.
I remember my school teachers and always try to visit them when I come to my native town.
A special person for me was my English teacher Mariya Stepanivna. She had a great sense of humour and her lessons weren't boring.

Once I was pleased to say, "Our gymnasium is not just a place of work where creative colleagues are ready to share their teaching ideas, to support with an encouraging look or friendly smile. It’s also a place where I happily spend much of my life time watching the growth of pure souls of Ukraine, which gives me lots of joy and hope for the future".

Today, when I look at these gifted students, I can say it again. biggrin
