Long Live School Leavers' Meeting Day!

The teachers and students have come to the Gymnasium today on the national school leavers' meeting day.

It was a surprise to meet those  who were the first Gymnasium's first grade students in 1992. Here they are in the photo below!)))

traditioanally turned up to talk to my former students,  and it was a joy to see their smiling faces while  trying to find out some changes in both  their life and appearance.

I was more than happy to chat with Ania Derevynska, who had been my student in 2005-2008.

Here is Ania Derevynska in the middle of the photo (which is on the right) in 2007 after deliberating compulsory voting as part of

the DID project (with our partners from New Jersey, the USA)

It seemed to me that Nastia Bulavina, Andrii Lavrynchuk, Denys Petrenko (school leavers 2014)  just came back to school after winter holidays. Their stories only reminded me of their being students at different universities (and also good at something else: Andrii studies business English, Denys - Chinese, Nastia is the smartest in English in her group)

I enjoyed watching our gymnasium school leavers of different years in the best of their spirits.

The most precious moments were when the principal Victor Islamovych Safiulin and some of the students shared their impressions of having studied/taught in the Gymnasium.

In the end the teachers and students honoured the ATO heroes and  remembered the teachers who passed away.

They will always be in our hearts, as well as  Victor Serhiyovych Yuryk, whose album was presented by his wife and the former gymnasium teacher Valentyna Mykolayivna Yuryk.
